AAA Glass

Rebranding and web design for a classic Fort Worth company

Background

AAA Glass is a local, family-owned company that was founded in 1952. With such a long and nostalgic history for both the owners and also the Fort Worth community, it was important to honor the company’s past while giving it a more modern appearance that could help drive new, younger customers to the website. Our work for AAA involved new logo designs, a complete overhaul of their old website, and social media graphics that could help them reach more diverse clientele and drive more traffic to the website.

Logo Redesign

The original plan for this client was to implement a modern logo design and branding. We wanted to maintain purple as the primary color since that was part of the original identity. We presented several different options for the client to choose from; the one pictured here was one of the favorites. The shapes resemble panels of glass, and the modern, sleek design symbolizes cutting-edge techniques. This geometric style could be carried throughout their website, social media graphics, and other collateral materials. However, things don’t always go according to plan. While the client liked the new design, ultimately they decided not to depart from their original logo because of nostalgic and budgetary reasons.

Web Design

AAA Glass had a website which was at least 10 years old. The design was outdated,  but it contained great content. The age of the website along with the extensive content helped boost the site to the top of Google search results. We opted to keep most of the text but chose to use illustrative imagery and add more photography and examples of their work as time went on. These illustrations were designed to extend to social media and other applications as well.

My Role

I executed all the work shown. The logo redesign was my own design based on client and account executive input. The illustrations were my own design and execution. The web design was wireframed partially by another employee based on my art direction, and the website was designed and implemented with the help from one other co-worker.
