JMeds Durable Medical Equipment

Rebranding a 20 year old company

Background

In 2018, Kalos Health services merged with JMeds, a 19 year old durable medical equipment company in the DFW area. This merger brought my agency the opportunity to initiate a complete rebrand, a new website, and marketing campaigns that would involve collateral materials, slide decks, trade show displays, and more. Because JMeds has always been a family owned business, it was of utmost importance to take into consideration the opinions and preferences of the original owner. Our collaboration resulted in JMeds’ current branding which can be seen on their internal and external marketing materials, social media graphics, sales pieces, delivery vans, uniforms, and even the identification sticker on their rental equipment.

Branding

The JMeds logo communicates speed, upward mobility, momentum, and flexibility. The soft green was chosen as the primary color because it conveys cleanliness, stability, growth, and financial security. The flowing, organic element in the logo was carried over into other graphic elements used in branding. This messaging was chosen strategically to appeal to the company’s ever-expanding target market. Once the logo was finalized, brand standards were created, and branded material included business cards, letterhead, a sales folder, and other office supplies.

Web Design

The web design for JMeds posed many challenges for us. They did not have a website prior to this, so we had to develop all new content. In addition, the direction of the company was not completely clear. The merger offered the opportunities for growth, new employees, programs, and services, but nothing was set in stone. We had to make a website that could be professional and informative as well as flexible and adaptable. Over time, we developed the final form of the JMeds website. The homepage acts as a marketing funnel, drawing in customers, educating them, and ultimately, leading them to the call to action at the bottom of the page. The overall visual design incorporates various green hues, soft curves, iconography and illustrations that make this website dynamic, appealing, and easy to use. It is also organized in such a way that it could be used for e-commerce in the future.

Services Sales Sheets

Trade Show Booth Design

Jmeds attends several conferences and trade shows per year, so it is vital to present poignant, consistent messaging that will appeal to the target audience. Creative pieces required for trade shows include 7-foot tall pull-up banners, a 10×10 foot backlit display, sales sheets, social media graphics, and a video presentation loop.

My Role

All work shown was primarily executed by me. The direction on branding was the result of collaboration with the owners as well as creative brainstorming from my team. Web design direction came from my creative director. I took lead on the buildout, and other employees have assisted with individual pages and mobile optimization. The sales sheets, including their illustrations were directed and created by me. The trade show booth designs were the the result of a combination of brainstorming, and direction from the account executive, the creative director, and me.
